My thoughts on this season:

Lost Galaxy heads into space as well, yet it takes a completely different route than In Space . Its central setting is the space colony Terra Venture , a huge space station launched from Earth to reach a new home planet called Mirinoi . A large part of the story initially unfolds aboard this colony, which gives the season a clearly defined, almost self-contained framework.

As things progress, the focus shifts increasingly to the planet Mirinoi . There, the Quasar Saber mystery moves to the fore, playing a central role in the Rangers' story. This is rounded out by recurring missions in space and on alien planets, so the season alternates between space colony, planetary exploration and a classic outer-space setting.

The Super Zeo Megazord from Power Rangers Zeo was re-released here under the name Super Galactic Megazord , complete with adapted original packaging (OVP) that visually ties it clearly to the Lost Galaxy line. Technically, the model remained unchanged, which makes it a connecting link between the two seasons.

What stands out in particular is that this toyline is the first and, so far, only one in which the individual Zords officially have no way of combining with one another. Even the accompanying Carrier Zord GigaBitus fulfills its role only in a limited way, since it doesn't transport the actual Zords but merely smaller replicas of them. This marked the first time that the classic combination principle, which had defined so many previous seasons, was deliberately abandoned.

For fans of Zord combinations this is rather disappointing, but from a completist collector's point of view the line still belongs in the collection. It's precisely this quirk that makes Lost Galaxy an unusual, yet no less interesting, chapter within the history of the Zords and the toyline.
